p38's are officially rubbish....dont ever buy one

Not the brightest idea coming onto a range rover forum to tell us they are all crap - you won't get much sympathy here adopting that attitude Sort it or sell it - but either way stop moaning BTW - if you decide to sort it then you will get plenty of help on here if you ask nicely ! :)...

    4.6 gone sluggish

You would soon hear if it was the cam so it ain't that Is the air cleaner needing changed ? - whip it out and go for a blast to see if there is any difference Possibly fuel related (ie lack of ) - check/ change the fuel filter Look for fuel leaks where the pipes come out of the tank in case...

    Gearbox Question Guys???

The V8's have a longer bell housing and therefore the main shaft on the gearbox will probably be too short to fit LT77's are not swappable between 200tdi and V8's for this very reason - not 100% sure about VM's though but I would be surprised if it was a straight swap

    Whats it doing now?!!

Why not swap the wires from drivers seat onto passenger seat switch - that would tell you if drivers switch is gubbed and would rule out the seat motors Switch packs come up on ebay all the time if it turns out to be the switch

    EAS paranoia..is it just me??

As I have already mentioned, there are different opinions and changing to coils suits my needs best Can you tell me how many coil converted range rovers you have driven to come to the conclusion that it drives like a Lada ? As for being famous for it's air suspension, sadly I think...

    EAS paranoia..is it just me??

I went through months of worry trying to find leaks and just waiting on a hard fault (which to be fair, never happened ) Changed to coils in the end - best move I ever made No more worry and handling is way better than it ever was on air  Now before you all start - I know a lot of you...

RR Classic - no drive ?

My wee fella went to Rock Ness at the weekend in the bobtail and arrived back today on a truck ! The motor has lost all drive - gearbox will only go into 1st,3rd and 5th and will not move when the clutch is released, it also won't go into low range I reckon the problem is the transfer...

    Suspension Change

Heavy duty springs will give you about a 1" lift by the very nature of them being stiffer You can comfortably go to a 2" lift without requiring extended brake hoses - I would question why though if most of your use is road work, the lift will make it handle like **** Police spec springs are...

Changing From Air - Whats your thoughts?

Yes, you are right - it's very straight forward and getting quite cheap now to repair the air system I thought long and hard and did loads of research before taking the plunge to coils - I am more than happy with the outcome but appreciate that the majority would rather keep air and that's just...

    High mileage P38

It would need more than LPG to make it worth the asking price ! Of course it does make it a bit more desirable and therefore adds to how much someone is willing to pay for it , but it's still waaaaay too dear ! Slipped liners usually go by 90,000 if at all Listen to what people are telling...
