I'm going to replace my radiator next weekend but I'm trying to work out what rubber mounts I need to order (I'm assuming the current ones at 20+ years old will be perished). I can't work out whether there are top and bottom ones. I can't find any definitive information anywhere so any help...

Using a guide to standard wiring colours (Lucas?) can help e.g. http://www.mgexp.com/article/lucas-colours.html although there is no guarantee it will be 100% correct, especially if a previous owner has done a bit of DIY electrics :rolleyes:

Yes watch this:) the only thing I remember is he cut the corners first using a jigsaw or something then used a grinder for the sides of the openings. He made it look very easy as usual ;)

I wouldn't get too hung up on mileage to be honest as a lot of components may have been replaced anyway! As Adrian says my priority would be the chassis and bulkhead, then I'd want to see service history (if done by owner then when did they last change fluids etc) and receipts to see what work...

Either EP90 or 90w90, GL4 seems to be the consensus. Wilkinsons do Comma 80w90 GL4 for £3.50 a litre bottle which is massively cheaper than anywhere else and you can order to collect in store. Quite a few people have used this stuff.
