Series III wipers suddenly flopped outwards and stopped. Seems no life in the motor. Any ideas?

Oh yes. Its probably mechanical as both wiper arms have flopped dead overhanging the windscreen. Will start investigating this week but have feeling not good News. Moments before they only moved a couple inches across each screen

Couple of checks would be the earth on the bulkhead as prone to corrosion and the park switch in the motor
