Popped in to wish a mate happy xmas and all that old nonsense today, i parked outside his place for no more than ten minutes, its a nice quiet street with no through traffic, and when i came out some numb nuts has smashed my drivers side mirror to pieces!! does any body know if a ten pin mirror will connect to my six pin wiring and work properly? the breakers assure me that it will, but i'm not convinced, but its a nightmare not having a mirror on that side so i need to do something quick:mad::mad::mad:
 
I have the same problem here but the drivers here think their cars are wider than they are!! They come to a halt when faced with an oncoming car passing a parked vehicle, you could get a bus through the space. But NO, their extra wide Nissan Micra won't fit through the gap that my R/R will. Rant over, early Happy New Year to everyone

Am sure it applies equally everywhere and to all types, but around here it is usually Asian women drivers, who seem to have the spacial awareness of a custard.

Are we being a bit non PC wammers? Personally I love it, I also loved the name of the O/Per, should be notsoluckymark :D:D

Just stating a fact, don't know how you would state that fact in a PC manner to be honest. When you are driving down a road which is clear on your side but has cars parked on their side, instead of giving way as they should, they will pull out into your path then stop halfway down the line of parked cars, with about a four foot gap between them and the car on their nearside. Then wave you through which means you usually have to mount the pavement to get past. They are a bloody nightmare. Mostly women but Asian men also do it. Specially bloody taxi drivers who seem to think they are a law unto themselves. Not saying others don't do it they do you see it every day but around here it will usually be an Asian. Just like mobile phone use when driving. Usually an Asian. Sorry but can't be anymore PC than that. Not to mention two of them stopping in the middle of the road for a chat holding traffic up in both directions. That happens quite often.

They will be better when they pass their tests :D:D
 
I had to sacrifice my passenger mirror recently when a yummie mummy thought she needed the whole road to fit her 4x4 (she had a clear two foot spare on her side) of course I had to swerve and berm it to avoid a head-on collision as she ploughed on oblivious to her poor driving. :mad: I'm going to get a dash cam - at least then I could have got her number plate, traced her through the DLVA and sent her the bill complete with a video of her **** driving.
 
Where i live its all Koreon's and Asian's and i've got to agree with wammers, they ever just keep coming no matter if there's room or not, or they stop and have a chat in the middle of the road, there nearly as bad as the recycling trucks that will drive past a parking space and pull up in the middle of the road between two parked cars and idly wander across the road to pick up the bins whilst i'm trying not to be late for work(again!) sure they do it on purpose

Judging by some I've seen before the law changed here, the Burka seriously restricts spacial awareness:mad:

A bloke convicted a couple of years ago had taken several dozen driving tests for various people. So yeah you are correct in that. For a woman doing that wearing a Burka it would be almost undetectable. :):)

That is how I lost my passenger mirror. Some dick took a blind corner by crossing the white lines, my choices were crash or put it in the hedge, would've been fine but there was a sign post hidden in the hedge. I was annoyed to say the least. I decided that next time I'll just crash into them.
