It just lifts out m8 ,no need to undo the small nut in the centre, this attaches the rubber to the shaft of the cam part.

It may have a little tention on it because the needle is pressing on it from 3 o clock.

You may have the best you can already , there may be more ****ible depending on the possision it was set as in standard form.
They do vary slightly from car to car.

Ok thanks for that ill have a go tommorow and c

thanks again..

my disco is a 200tdi, i have been upping the boost bit by bit, recently flushed out the intercooler and cleaned it so air actually flows through it now, all turbo pipes replaced, inlet manifold flushed out and new gasket, uprated fuel pump, some more boost, still doesnt smoke with pump maxed out, now revs upto 5.5k with just a touch of power loss at just over 5k, boost is at 1.3 bar (not advised as i have a spare engine on low milage i could replace it with) and it goes like fooooooking stink, real low down power and pulls like fook once its on boost, would put it upto a v8 anyday.
allisport not fitted yet as i only found out about a one on the cheap earlier today when i had all this done along with a new cambelt, water pump, idler, tensioner, gaskets etc etc etc
the drivability is amazing, i prefer to change up quick and have the tourque accelerate me instead of revving the balls off it, can drive round at good pace at no more than 1500 revs now not a problem.

oh and as per fitting a boost gauge to any one reading, plum it from the inlet manifold to get the reading before entrance into the engine and not from the pipe between the turbo and actuator as alot will prob be lost from there to the engine itself.

Where do you plum that in then !

if you look on your inlet manifold you will find a bolt on the cylinder head side, take the manifold off, drill down the bolt, and make a thread for a brake bleed nipple or similar, make sure the thread is sealed up and you replace the manifold gasket at the same time to ensure no air loss,
take your boost gauge feed from the nipple and hey presto youll know exactly how much boost your getting at the last stage.

Sorry so you are running 1.3 bar on yours then

What have done with the wastegate have you adjusted it much

yer 1.3 bar, i turned it up gradully running a bit more boost now and again,
eventually got it upto 1.3 bar and it was only just being out paced by my mates tdv6 and i mean only just, 1st - 2nd gear change is the biggest killer on the lt77 box which kind fooked things up as i have to let the revs down before i change otherwise ill get a little crunch.
turned it back down to 1 bar earlier today and to be honest it didnt loose that much power.
if you watch your boost gauge, although mine will now rev to just under 6k youll find yer peak still dies after 4k.
just make sure you spend some time and money making sure the engine is right in every way first or yer waseting time and money modding it.
how far have you gone performance wise on yours now? you on a 200tdi aswell?

Yeah on a disco 200

Shes serviced regurlarly as in every 5k or every three months

shes currently on big alisport intercooler, k&n and snorkel

kenlowe fan

new water pump

I havent gone on the bigger turbo so

shes on bfg 33"

2 inch lift and all that

why what turbo would yer replace it with? if yer aint uprgading yer internals then yer might aswell just set yer 200 turbo to max boost cause yer lump will give in either way eventually.

The Turbo could get modified I cant remember the details. I know a friend of mine sent his to turbo technics fr a better one. But his reply to that is that it never really justified in having it because you can only benefit it only when he was pulling a trailer.

I didnt want to mess about too much of the inside as theyre very good as standard. Im led to beleive

Whilst a while back another friend of mine lightened and balanced the engine and he said the hp was awesome and can practically compete with a td5 but he lost the torque low down.

What have you done to yours

internal wise nothing, but i am still getting mega compression accross all 4, it doesnt smoke, doesnt get that deisel clatter so i know its sweet as a nut considerin the 187k its covered.
regular clean oil and flush for engine and fuel see it good. i must admit i do spend more than i have to on it really.

Mine too she does get serviced more than shen needs to be !!

At the momment she pulls really well low down afta a few adjustment and with 33" the precise readig on the speedo is slightly out but she gets to 75 to 80 without a problem that would mean nearer 90 i think

gd gd, am fetching more than that though??? in good weather i have been over the tonne with 235,70,16 amazons on. might be the fact that mine will rev a lot higher, although i dont use the revs that high, its very very rare ill go over 4k.

3.5 i think is the fastest I go it sounds too much on the engine on the strain side if you know what I mean
Mine is on muds as well
