insured my land rover at the begging of the month.they asked me to send a picture of both parts of my driving licence on both side.so i did about 2 weeks ago.got a letter today saying they hadnt recieved anything from me and it was going to be cancelled on the 27th if i hadnt sent it by then.they sent the letter on the 23rd,had to be sorted by the 27th yesterday.the letter came this morning and some how its my fault
 
doesn't mean they wont cancel though, I went through this not long ago with company, they lost my stuff, but as they were not the underwriters, it still got cancelled, their view at that point was there was nothing they could do about it.
ended up with multiple phone calls and emails, and ended up with the same questions each flipping time.
complained to the head, got the "cancellation charge" cancelled, and some money back as a good will gesture, still had to sort insurance elsewhere.
 
one insurance company i was with took two payments in the same month tried for third because bank said no cancelled policy. this was three months into policy. Only found out about this when had letter of bank:eek: Phoned them they insisted my fault tough luck:eek: Sent an email with facts on it pics of statement from bank etc plus said recorded phone calls with them. This is what i have prepaired to go to ombidsman and even press if have to. Email back refund and bank charges repayed with an apol. plus if i ring them they will do me a god discounted rate on new policy:eek:

cancelation charge is £75.the people on the fone have just got no idea what there doing.why send a letter on the 23rd of december and expect it to get there quickly or on time.why they couldnt just ring me and tell me i dont no .ive had to send the pictures by txt.but wen i try and ring now there to busy and no 1 ansers so i cant even check if theve got them.something like this seems to happen every time
 
how many peeps do they do it to good earner. On top of what they are already charging peeps. It's great they are cancelling policy not you but you still get charged :mad:
 
Ive had it before with insurers and other companies, you leave, but not canel the DD, so they still keep charging.
best one was talk talk, who when i noticed 6 months later, and cancelled the DD, started to chase me for money I allegedly owed them !! toom anopther 18months to get them to refund me!
 
I really miss the days of actually going to the broker and paying cash monthly,showing licence etc.Had a similar problem with carol nash.another thing that riles me is overseas call centers and there lack of the grasp on the "English" language
 
That happened to me, i sent it off the second time recorded delivery so no excuses! Soemething I will do from now on to save the hassle!
 
Are ecar the same company as Esure? A friend of mines had similar troubles with them in the past.

When I had to send pics of my Landy I emailed everything and got a confirmation email back, so I had a paper trail of everything.
