found this today, in a box of stuff I got when I bought my landy 110, any idea what it is and if it should be on the car? It was new in a packet.

looks a bit like a gearbox mount thingy, check yer gearbox if they're all intact no worries.

If ye look in front of the back wheel, there'll be a round bar coming from yer axle to a bit sticking out of the chassis
 
Its the bush off the chassis end of the lower link on the back suspension, if you haven't got one on the back axle will be flapping about in the breeze.
 
Aha, cheers guys, I'll have probably noticed if it wasn't on, not with mandrover at the moment so I can't check, though I'm at a loss why someone would buy it and not fit it...
 
tbh I was almost waiting for a comment such as, "its a pad of A4, useful for playing hangman with yourself whilst you're waiting to be towed out of a ditch"
 
Cos the owld un int quite nackered enough to be arsed changing it but it's there just in case it fails the MOT. Or, **** me it's gettin dark I'll do the otherside next week.

Hi guys , i wonder if anyone can point me in the right direction...TD 5 90 ive been told to move the ecu??????. cos of the water?
 
It looks like a crankcase breather filter from an old 2.5 BMC engine as fitted to the FX4 London Cab a good few years ago. This one looks as if it has been cut in half, probably to clean the Brillo pad type element inside. We used to do this and then weld it back together. There again it might be something completely different.

Hi Gearbox oil is a pinky cream emulsified colour, any ideas what would cause this?
