So technically your series III will loose out and be q plated? On the points system you will lose:

Engine 1 point,
Axles 2 points,
Gearbox 2 points,

Chassis/body 5 points,
steering 2 points
So you only have 7 points when you need 8 points to retain Reg plate????

lt77 if its the same input as series is 7/8th or 22.25mm iirc and the crank is 24mm so you have #### all wall thickness left once done, very hard to fit then without damaging when you knock it in as obviously the bush into crank is a push fit
the series spigot 22mm is the same apart from v8 upto and including td5

series box all the way. A rebuilt jobbie will be good for a while. The extra hassel and losing the series feel would seriously put me off.

Engine was in before points came into place all I'm doing is swapping the old one out for a new non knackered one ?

gearbox is essentially a like for like replacement as they don't make brand new series boxes anymore

axles haven't been changed yet but using a drum braked salisbury for the rear which is the same as the 109 essentially so like for like and front one would be a disk braked tdi fender one so I'd still have 8 points by my reasoning if not more ?

gearbox is iffy but engine is simple like for like as I said

but they are considerably weaker than an lt77 ,you make your choice ,nursed a serieswill last on a tdi pushed it wont

IVA or SVA or whatever they call it. I know locally vosa are pulling every series landy because they have had good results in getting them off the road.

Lol you wont make it out the testers station!!!

Only test its going to see is MOT after its back together, chassis is solid, bulkhead is solid, brakes work, lights and indicators work, shock bushes are good, steering is tight so shouldn't see many reasons it may fail tbh

there wont be as long as it meets criteria

make sure you take it to a car place any landy guy will rip into it

local landy place know about it and think its fine tbh, as long as everything's solid and working don't see a problem

although I still take it to the car place as MOT is £15 cheaper there
