I've officially run out of talent.
The control arm swivel is knackered. I've heated the hub as much as i dare. I've hit it as hard as I'm capable.
I've given up and tried getting the hub off the axle and hit that as hard as I'm able with a sledge hammer one handed and it's not budging. My puller isn't big enough to grab the hub.
Other than cutting the axle off and putting the hub in a vice and beating it more, I'm stuck
 
In the ever ongoing repair list - the low range.

I’ve bought a replacement transfer motor, plugged it in and left it loose off the transfer case. I still can’t get it to change out of whichever ‘range’ it’s in. Original was in high, replacement was in low. Can’t get either one out of that mode.

I’m looking at grabbing a replacement transfer ECU however I’ve seen I need a specific auto one and one for my 2.5 engine yet all the eBay sellers are saying their auto ones will work with the V8’s and derv. Can I use one of those? And will they need to be coded to the car?

No coding needed. I am unsure but I think all the Auto ones are the same. Does yours smell of burning? The drive transistors burn out if the motor jams.

For £18 I’ll take the punt and order one then. I removed it a little while ago and couldn’t smell anything burnt however that’s not to say it’s happened and then the smell has faded.
 
Is something still holding it? With me driving a nammer hub would like like an 8ft sheet tin foil after a day 🤔

You got a bigger nammer?
Nothing holding it and it's been off before because someone has put a new cv boot on
Maybe they damaged the spline some how?
The only thing i can think of is take the job completely off the car with the axle and beat it in a vice
 
Have decided to upgrade various lighting elements, so a quick trip to Ming Woo's Parts Emporium and I've got:

New Puddle Lights (These have never worked so will take forever to get working)
New Reverse lights so I can see what I'm going to hit
New Numberplate lights
New Boot Lid lights.

I was tempted by the 55w LED High Beam bulbs, but isn't there some legal nonsense about replacing halogen with LED?
Hope you went for the can bus ones or the LCM going to love you lol.
