Hi sorry if I’m repeating
But freelander is doing my head in today been for mot and says poor braking the pedal is soft goes all the way down and stops eventually but says I have servo problem checked all vacuum pipes some split so redone
Problem I have is one pipe goes under the engine cover and out towards the servo but not connected to anything it has vacuum but dammed if I can find out where it goes come out of the back of the
Turbo vacuum control box

The vacuum hose come from the EGR to the EGR solenoid then from there to a one way valve, sometime the hose can get chaffed and this results in an hole in the hose, therefore needs to be replaced below are photo of the hose from the EGR solenoid tracking back to the valve.

Lack of servo vacuum would give less brake pedal travel, not more. The pedal will always go down further when the servo is boosting, as that's it working.
If your pedal is dropping a long way, then you're best bet is to check the rear brakes for serviceability and adjustment.
 
Thank you I stripped the rear brakes as the mot tester said it’s aticking on near side . Stripped it and the adjuster was solid not letting the shoes go back in just stuck against the drum thanks for your help

Can somebody please tell me what this metal pipe is and where this vacuum hose goes it come from the back of black turbo vacuum box

I believe the metal pipe is the IRD breather pipe and the other is the Turbo Breather pipe with filter attached
Thank you I meant this rubber braided vacuum pipe thanks j
