Hi all, my keyfob stopped working a couple of months ago so i have to unlock and lock with my key, quite a few times ive had to put in the EKA code and sometimes it can be a pain to do but it works... since ive had the rangie the alarm has never worked (flashed indicators etc) but i noticed the dash side lights flash instead (headlights on warning light) i no that this makes no differance but today its done it again but it wont except the code, ive disconnected the battery so its locked out for half an hour then lets me try the code again but it wont have it :mad::mad::mad: any ideas people???

Door lock assembly, wiring failure between door and A post. Does the LED flash on the FOB? Otherwise check all earths around the BECM and check the fusebox.

Howdy, nope no led on the fob and the wiring is ok as it flashes the dash side lights warning light (if that makes sence) everytime i turn the key, i think it does this as the alarm has been turned off befor i bought the rangie... its a head wrecker and gettin on my tits... i went to buy a new fob from stealers a few month ago and went with my logbook but they wanted my licence which still has my mums addres on so doesnt match my addres on the logbook so they wouldnt take my money and order me a new1, i walked off in a huff shouting i was gona buy a nissan turano instead (i never would but i was annoyed) dam this machine!

yes i replaced them and still didnt work so i hardwired the batts to the fob terminals but still didnt work so it must be the pcb in the fob, problem is they are sealed for life so i cant cut it open, i did try and cut open a scrap yard 1 but it was a disaster. Just went out and tried it again and its opend all doors and started!!! i think im goin to have to bite the bullit and buy a new fob, there is a company in manchester that sell after market fobs for the p38 but they are not so cheap and id rather pay the extra £20 or so for a genuine fob, many thanks for your help again mate. Do you no any1 who repairs the fobs apart from ebay balloons lol:D

If it's any help, I have a working spare fob with the code. If you know anyone over there who can change the FOB code in the Becm. All you would need to do is swap the blade over to suit your own car to save changing all the locks.
Don't know if Joe at Emmott's has the gear.
Send me a PM if you are interested.:behindsofa:
