not quite - way cheaper here - not appraciating anything of quality and I specc'd top end now payingSell them there and be done with it. What you make and save, you can buy one here. Don’t let your heart rule your head.
Very different these days.... very...I lived just outside Nairobi in the late ‘70’s and it was reasonably safe then, apart from the driving. But what I’ve heard about it over the last few decades, I wouldn’t go back
Head would be sell the 90 and keep the 110Sell them there and be done with it. What you make, and save, you can buy one here. Don’t let your heart rule your head.
3 dogs through some of the worst counties in the world to go through.... no thanks.... kind of wanna get homeDrive them have an adventure.
But then at $1/mile I guess it would be cheaper to ship than pay the fuel/ferries/hotels costs. but then the dogs flight tickets could offset the savings.
I am just trying to manmathmy way to say. If you have 2 rust free RHD landies and 1 being a V8 you will probably want 1 in the UK when you do get there. So why not hang on to what you have?

You're kidding - that's cheaper than 2014 when we came out here - shipping is actually one of the few cheaper things - and that covers all exporting / deregistering/importing / MOT and into UK plates as well, not just the shippingThat seems bloody expensive. I’d be doing 1 x 40’ container - fill it with 2 cars and your otherjunkstuff (use the space in the cars also), and ship from/to ports that prove the most cost-effective.
I was recently talking to some guys doing a Himalayan rally, and they are shipping over some F1s from the UK for around £2,500 / container, IIRC. Might pay you to ask about a bit.
Or flog them over there like @meego says, - but if the market is not asstupidstrong as the UK, you might be losing £££ in selling there and then struggle to replace your (known quality) with something here.
done enough over the decade to know the ride home "up" isn't for me....This !![]()
I’ve just checked with a colleague - 40’ container UK to Durban or Cape Town is currently $2675 US., quayside to quayside. You're kidding - that's cheaper than 2014 when we came out here - shipping is actually one of the few cheaper things - and that covers all exporting / deregistering/importing / MOT and into UK plates as well, not just the shipping
The 90 I don't think makes sense, but an overland camper feels useful in the Lakes / Alps as well as the Masai Mara...
Yeah, about right - backup is a bit less, but yeah about that - they go around the left side, not the right side...I’ve just checked with a colleague - 40’ container UK to Durban or Cape Town is currently $2675 US., quayside to quayside.
Appreciate that’s just the sea ‘movement’.
