If as i suspect my front UJ has gone can I pull off the front Prop Shaft and run the disco as 2 wheel frive till i can get it fixed ? (about a week) and do paddocks do a complete kit ?

yes make sure you get the hardy spicer ones ive found them better and a bit longer lasting , im just sending you a pm !!!!

As far as I know without locked diff it'll not move just on the rear propshaft........or if it moves then would screw things up(viscous coupling)

when my uj,s went not so long ago i was driving round without front prop on for a month no problems and fuel economy increases aswell .......... just watch out for roundabouts you get a hell of a lot of over steer and tends to be more wallowie

Viscous and 3 amigos?? you really do need to try paying attention before you post utter bollixs :blabla:

so is that difflock on or off ? :) and the 3 amigos shouldnt be an issue it is a 300 TDi

If you remove a propshaft on a TDi 300 you need to select difflock or you won't move !!

There is never a 3 amigo's problem on a TDi 300 as they don't have 3 friends, ever !!

tis perfectly ok to drive with difflock on if one of the props is removed.

I ran my last Disco with front prop removed and diff locked while I waited for a new UJ to come in the post. If diff lock is off and prop removed you wont move because centre diff acts as though there is no traction at front wheels and it just spins.
