Got a Freelander 1 2003 TD4. The pipe from the turbo is splitting so needs replacing.

Whats the general consensus on standard replacement vs silicone aftermarket.

Secondly, any recommendations on where to purchase.

Silicon last longer but cost more.
I fitted a set of 5 silicon ones to mine.

silicone ones are far better try DPH they do sell on EBay and I think they have a web site Derby Performance Hoses.

I plan to get a set of 3 DPH hoses and T clamps when I get paid, seem to be the most praised ones on here.

since your orig lasted this long, another oem would outlast the car

You are probably very right the rate i am getting through repairing everything else on the car!!!!
