is there a socket for it to go in, if not then you may need to have one fitted. the p38 has a bracket attached to the chassis and the tow bar fits into a socket on that.
the newer discos have a removeable flap in the rear bumper, behind it is the socket. looking at the tow bar it appears to be the same as the newer disco type, check for a removeable flap.
