Hey everyone, new member here. I've done some internet searching and can't seem to resolve my issues, so I'm hoping someone on here will have some advice.
I have a 2008 LR2 HSE. Clearly, given the name designation, it's a US-spec model. However, I currently live in the UK and have it here with me. How's that for irony?
Anyway, I recently had to have the right-front TPMS sensor replaced. I bought a new replacement off a UK LR parts website (although I don't think it's exact OEM) and had a local tire shop install it. However, my computer still doesn't recognize that a new one is installed.
After doing some digging, I discovered that the computer is automatically supposed to register the new sensor if you drive over 12.5mph for 15 minutes straight. I've done this to no avail.
However, I also realized that the US sensors work on a 315mhz frequency, while the rest of the world is on 433mhz. As my new sensor was bought in the UK, I assume that it's transmitting at 433mhz.
Here's the question: Is it possible to get a 415mhz sensor to talk to my US-spec computer? If so, how? Thanks in advance for any help.
