Very impressive.... Thats a lot of MPG for a lot of jeep.. Good on ya.
220BHP on a front wheel drive car, soft compound tyres for super grip in the dry.
It's a tuned Cooper S btw.

Kind of makes me feel betterer about me driving costs now. Mines the v6 un only does 18mpg. 28.5 at a steady 60mph feathering it. Although I has fitted mine wiv kers.
Personally I wouldn't lower or higher a Freelander. Don't know the dynamics of stress etc to be clear it's safe. Many have done it. Some wiv problems. Some wivout. Luck of the draw I guess.
Freelanders are not just called hippo's fer their beautiful looks. They also corner like hippos's too. Un like water. Hence no suspension mods on mine. And yer will be needing to kerb yer boy racer speed or yer chocolate transmission will melt.

ound: :boink:Have to be honest and say that all I ever got from my 200 TDI was 25 mpg, round town and motorway driving made no difference. The main reason I sold it was because the rust and aluminium corrosion became too much of a problem. Looked at some 300 TDI's but rusty rear inner wheel arches and boot/rear storage area put me off. Bought a Rover 75 1.8I k series instead, what a prat I must have been.
the Q yu have to ask is how much does it cost to repair the sills, inner wings n boot floor and, when it has been fixed, how long will it last.

From my own experience just until something else starts to corrode such as both bumpers, front valance, rear diff pan and finally the rear of the chassis over the axle. Sold it to a chap who carried out mobile welding and body repairs for next to nothing, still running though minus bumpers and front valance but has a set of enormous wheels and tyres and looks bloody awful (my opinion)

True, the Landy was just a copy of the Jeep.
If you're worried about offroad performance & ground clearance then you really want the Defender especially as it's cheaper for you to insure.
