so in my discovery td5 i sometimes get an engine light with some misfiring. it happens every few days and till now it has always resolved itself just by switching it off and on.

ECU errors: Crank speed logged high

The only other thing that i noticed is that it is smoking a little bit more than ir emember it. Turbo seems to be boosting normally.

Smoke test revealed a problem in the breather non return valve - it is no longer non return, not sure what effect that has but ordered a new one

Some data from nanocom that i think might help (taken with engine warm, engine was running normally when i took these readings):

Check for oil in the ECU red plug if it is clean it well with contact spray and replace the injector loom ASAP... if it's dry replace the crank sensor and make sure it's wiring and connector are in good shape

will check everything and report back. had put in one of the supposedly better Pace 4x4 looms so i hope it not the problem
