hope someone can point me in the right direction. driving and engine cuts out pulled into the side off the road turned ignition off then back on. when i turned the ignition on the engine check light comes on heater plug light stays on. warning light for fuel filter on. temp gauge go's all the way up then comes back down temp warning light on m and s lights flashing. gearbox indicator lights ok in p r n flashes in d and stays flashing in d when selecting 3 2 1. when turning ignition all the way engine cranks but not starting there is a clicking coming from the fuel relay which carries on when you stop cranking and turn ignition off. to stop relay i disconnected the battery. i have checked the 3 earth bolts by the fuse box and the ecu for oil. when battery has no load i get 12.6 volts. on cranking 12.3 volts i don't know what to check next any pointers' will be gratefully received. i have checked the fuse box in the engine bay and the one under the steering wheel both look very clean with no signs off water damage. thanks for looking.

I had a similar problem.
Have u checked inertia switch , under bonnet or right hand side of bulkhead as u look in bonnet. U can reset it by pressing button on top .
Mine had been moused and wire chewed between inertia switch and fuse box.
Have tried to read the ecu?
