So, I wondered if I could ask for some help.

Vehicle electrickery is not my strong point (very little is!)

On my 1993 discovery 1, I have a relay screwed into the front O/S wing. Out of the relay, I have 4 wires. One of them, I presume, must go to an earth.

Now there is a black wire, coming out of the terminal marked 88, which is a very short length of wire ending in a ring terminal. This is also joined to two other ring terminals, on two other black lengths of wire. These 3 are fastened together, but are not actually touching anything, are these supposed to be earthing points? If so, im guessing these need to be screwed into the inner arch or smething to actually earth them?

Also, were the wires originally covered in this conduit, or is this a mod by a previous owner?

From your pic i would suggest it is a previous owners addition. The black wires look like the earth.Where do the reds come/ go to.Might be for spotlights that have been removed

Thought as much, thanks for the advice gents!

Any idea how I would go about tracing a battry drain? As soon as I connect leads, the battery slowly loses voltage. 0.01 every 2/3 seconds..?

Thanks
Tom

Remove all fuses and replace one by one checking each time for battery drain:)

Or remove one at a time till drain ceases
