So today I had another odd suspension fault
Parked the car to fill up at fuel station,
Get back in car and get the inactive message, pulled over and read the code, “reservoir pressure rises when reservoir inactive”
Cleared code, start car, inactive message again, read codes “reservoir pressure drops when reservoir inactive”
So read the pressure with the car running 11.81psi if I remember correctly, turn off ignition and it immediately drops to 10.3, ignition back on immediately back up to 11.81.
Did it a few times with the same result,
Codes off now but I guess it’ll be back on soon.
 
Jesus, your having a run of gremlins youmite!! I take it you don't have any battery or charging issues?
I want my old series 2A back....:(
 
Well it’s a new to me car so just trying to get all the issues sorted fairly quickly, I’ve got more on the “to do” list as well but anything that makes it unusable obviously takes priority,
The only baytery issue I’ve got is the odd hdc inactive message after a few short runs but the battery is new and generally turns it over very quickly even on cold mornings so don’t think it’s a battery issue
 
Sell the L322's and build yourself a luxury S2 with armchairs in it:p:D
And a flat screen cinema in the back:cool:;)
 
I love the rangie, and I enjoy fixing it, to be fair this forum is a massive help, not sure I’d tackle a lot of the jobs without help from folks on here.
 
Might need all the luck I can get like l just posted yet another query, not life threatening though, just a tv question really

I did read that before, I actually swapped out my compressor a short time ago for a known good one.
Also my pressure shows an increase/decrease instantly just by turning the ignition on or off so I’d have to assume it’s a sensor or certainly electrical gremlin,
I have another valve block that I know works so I might swap them, was hoping to avoid this just because I’m lazy but I’m wondering if this might be related to the harder ride I’m experiencing with this car,

shame it wasn’t more useful

have u got a code reader that gives u live data of the various suspension set up items

alas, by the looks of it my D3s suspension operates with differently designed items , but know they can be fun pinning down the error , be it electrical , sometimes causing the intermittent error or air leak somewhere within the system

it was just on the off chance seeing that link that it may of have helped

sorry about that and hope ur able to get to the bottom of it in order u keep ur sanity

PS, ive rebuilt most of my suspension and resolved a good few issues, currently replacing my front struts

hope i don’t get sworn at, lol

just generally thinking, could a relay cause this kind of issue, reservoir sensor or possibly a leak in the air tank

does it drop overnight or just these intermittent errors keep coming up please

looked it up to see , finding out my system operates up to around 258 Psi, do u know what urs should run at plse

maybe i should get my coat and keep my nose out, ;):D

Doesn't drop at all except for the couple of issues I've had, but nothing since the other day,
I wonder if the valve block might be sticking a bit,
Until it creates more of a problem I won't worry about it, plenty of other bits to keep me busy

oh yes , they do enjoy spitting a dummy out once in a while , lol

wonder if possibly a bad wire, connector may be causing ur problems, with it being intermittent

will be interesting to see what u finally find :D

only reason i say that and know there different but on my D3 there are 2 x spots where the loom rubs against the chassis and throws up suspension faults like an aero advert , inc sometimes a bad pin on the EAS ECU , lol
