Being a bit cheeky as have just posted in the wanted section (http://www.landyzone.co.uk/lz/f62/d...eadlight-front-bumper-196473.html#post2099411) but wandered if anyone had sugestions as to the best way to straighten a Disco 1 front bumper?

I made a slight missjudgement and bent it on another vehicle. It has kinked around the chassis mounting (which appears unharmed) and so pulls the trim, headlight mount etc all out of place. I'm lucky to have got vehicle back but insurers wont be giving me much to put it right so need to keep it all cheap as poss. so if I can bend it back it saves me replacing. I need to be reasonably neat as it is my day to day road car and the wife wont get in ti if it looks to battered.

Any suggestions greatfully recieved.

rope round bumper attach other end of rope to imovable object get in disco start engine engage reverse, drive backwards until bumper is straight.

OH and cover it in mud & scratches and tell the snooty bint to walk if she doesn't like it.. :D

I used a 4ft bar. Take the end cap off slide the bar through the hole a lodge it against something solid and pull. Might had a nudge against a bollard and broke the light washer and the bumper pushed in so only half of the hole was visible but I managed to put that right.
