My red 90 was stolen on the night of the 14/8 from within my rear yard in Sheffield near the city centre.

If anyone is offered this vehicle E724NSE please let me know.

Obvious parts are:

a 19J engine fitted with an Allard Intercooler with blue silcon pipework

A Maggiolina Safari roof tent which has non-standard fittings underneath.

A roof rack made by a firm in Clitheroe which has chequerplate base

A black wooden suitcase with orange painted interior holding all my tools.

Two blue soft bags containing shackles, KERR rope and bridle etcbearing the words 'Yorkshire Universities ????'

Everything else is pretty standard stuff which everyone has like CB, hi-lift, A-bar with Wipacs etc.

Just fitted a NATO tow jaw the day before it went.

Any information received with thanks

:doh::doh: I missed the word "How"

It's been a long day, that's my excuse and I'm sticking to it! :D:D

"How did they get around it (if fitted)" :boink:

It's the oldest one thats been on here as nicked recently. Musta been for the roof tent and other extras.

All that work and a lovely truck.... really sorry for you. I have printed off the description and popped it on my dash... we all spot other Landy's.

Heh, I'll keep a weather eye open in Doncaster .. seems a few end up here ...

Hi all,

It had an alarm/imobilser, Krooklock steering wheel lock and hidden fuel cut-out switch. I use all these when parked on the road. For the past year have been parking in the yard between gates and garage since having the snorkel ripped off one night. Typical I didn't use the alarm when it was in the yard. (Why? why? why?)

It was a bit of a pain opening the garage, driving front end in, closing gates and reversing up to them to close garage roller door. Have been doing that religously for about 12 months. Father-in-law recently came out of hospital on crutches and couldn't negociate his way round back of landy and out of gate so left it half in and half out of garage (too tall to go fully in) for just one week. The people who nicked it must have been watching it regularly 'cos that's too much of a coincidence.

Don't take half chances guys its bloody painful.

Regards all.

you now have the dreaded battle with the insurance ccompany who im sure will try all the tricks in the book to give you the lowest payout possible.

Had a thought last night, how do you find Land Rovers that have lots of goodies on them to nick. If you have an E-Bay site selling bits and pieces they come to you.

Over the past 3 years I've bought lots of bits and pieces off Ebay. Eventually I hit one guy trading who then has my name and address to post things to me and my list of purchases from my feedback. Possibility isn't it?

Has anyone who has had their Landy nicked bought lots of stuff from Ebay prior to that happening? Maybe we could compare sellers details and come up with something.

bit of a long shot that one my friend.
youll probably find someones been keeping an eye on it and saw what was onit and decided to chance there arm on having a go at nicking it.
it will probably be stripped and all parts sold on by now.
sorry to be the bearer of bad news but its highly unlikely that most stolen landrovers are returned to their owners.

sorry to hear about your landy being nicked... hope it turns up.

about ebay, that might be a long shot, but I have the same paranoia and if I buy anything related to my bikes or landy, I always put my work address for stuff to be sent there...

Damn, I hope they get caught and you get your machine back.

We all need a way to make our machines impossible to drive yet easy for us to disable.

A hidden switch in the engine bay or something similar?
