little lighweight sports a transit banana 2.5 litre diesel.great motor but its a bit stinky to be around noticeably when i get out to open a gate and its idleing. if i were to stitch the front section cat off an old disco will it stink less ,providing its not cloged up ? this banana is not breathing badly or using oil !

Probably just clog the cat. Check air cleaner set up and injectors.

there isunt a front section of exhaust system at the moment just mid & silencer .there isunt a filter in the box at the moment either so its not cloged at least.but was wondering if the front box of the disco will change anything.i dont know how to set up the injectors just how to fit them.any tips welcome !.

No wonder it stinks if there is no front section on the exhaust. Setting injectors is a specialist job.

dont think there are any settings to be on injectors specialist or not! the front section is straight through .my question is simply that by adding a catalitic element will it improve the smell situation but i think this may depend on exhaust gas recycling.ie egr valve ,but maybe a specialist might have the answer !
