my 200 tdi, with about 70K on the engine is smoking.
i have changed all the filters and the oil, but it still smokes.

no loss of power, nor does it overheat.

it is running quite a boost on the turbo- max of 14psi- is this too high and could this be the cause?

i have backed off the waste gate lever and it has helped lots. still smoking a little but much better.

Will have a look at that breather, though it seems to be breathing ok at the moment.

now when driving normally, the turbo isnt engaging and reads 0-3psi, more like what i think it is supposed to be like- before, it was over 10 all the time except at idle!

having said that, i have the boost gauge on a T piece from turbo to fuel pump- is this wrong?

apparantly the t-piece is meant to go on the pipe from turbo to accutator bit, there was a thread on here about it bout a week ago. not sure if it actually matters though, cos someone else also said it goes on pipe to the injector pump, so maybe it can go on both.

i would of thought it would be reading higher than 3psi most of the time anyway, especially under hard acceleration etc.
