mudmut

When i first got my Landy it ran quite hot most of the time, checked everything and found the rad fins full of mud, cleaned all this out and runs much cooler now, 82-88C, went green laning for the first time the other week and the the temp stayed at about 83C which is great. The only problem now is if i drive over 55 mph for any lenght of time the temp goes up to about 100C and stays there. The engine is a non intercooled 19j of which i know nothing of its history but was told it was completely rebuilt about 10 years ago by Scorpion Racing, which is no longer in business. I suspect that the pump and maybe the boost has been tweaked which may be the cause of the higher temps at greater speed/load. What I'm thinking is would an intercooler help, i know a cooler denser charge produces a bigger bang but with less throttle input would that help keep temps down, what do you think.
