The Disco decided it didn't want to start last week, turning over but not firing. A bit of trial and error revealed the fuel shut off solenoid wasn't working. Fast forward a week and I've fitted a new one (How much of an f'ing bind is that?)

Starts up no problem but runs on when the ignition is turned off, so presumably there's still fuel getting through. Any ideas on what I've missed/not tightened/broken?

It's a 96 300tdi if that makes any difference.

I'd guess you've taken a feed that isn't from the ignition, or disturbed the existing feed. Make sure you have replaced the wires exactly!

You have fitted the little spring inside the plunger haven't you.
