Very sad news indeed. I’ve met John on many occasions at various weekend do’s and Greenlaning days. Such a nice bloke and always a pleasure to be around.

Flossie you did meet him at LZ 12...he led one of the landing groups..short bloke, stopped in the motor home...navy 90 with yellow rocksliders.
He was only 62/63.. . He was driving the landy wearing a landy t shirt ,on his was on a promise ( met a lady friend just before xmas) when he had a heart attack in service station. Police contacted Heidi through the landy reg and took her up to Nottingham but unfortunately he had died. We were able to track down the landy because it had a tracker and drove it and her back home.
Heidi devastated as you can imagine as pretty much those two were each other's only family.

Usually when there's a RIP notification on here it's for a musician or actor. When I realised it was John as in John and Heidi it was a bit of a shock. He and Heidi always seemed such a team. Rest in peace John, and a virtual hug from us to Heidi.
