Hi guys, I got the 300 figure from some blog on the net, not sure of any exact price, the only problem I have is I simply want the batteries changed in both fobs, one will work once in a while and they both start and unlock the car manually.
Any advice would be fab.

As stated above the price for resynch is
minimum 2hrs +VAT , dealer only. Price for new fob is approx double that depending on model. For my older L322 it was £450. Not forgetting that is
my price, with
my discount. If it is the unit in the boot, you are looking at a shed load of pain for your wallet.
I suggest you just bite the bullet and take it to your local stealer. You are free to ask them what they think needs doing. Then you will know, for definite, if it is a battery issue or a more technical problem. You will also be able to ask how to change the batteries. The main problem is , the newer the vehicle the more complicated the key set up and the less likely you can get it fixed anywhere but stealers.
I said "thank you very much but I can cope with unlocking the car manually", to my very nice Service Manager, when it transpired i needed new keys. Of all the things that have gone wrong, and will go wrong, spending almost £500 on one key seems like money she can eat elsewhere. It's not really a hardship using a key, most of us did it for years, it's a snowflake problem
Anyway its my birthday soon, lets see what the birthday fairy brings ( he'll kill me if he sees ive called him a fairy
