i have a single cab hi-cap and im looking to fit a rear worklight on the cab-can anyone tell me if its easy to remove the headlining in the cab?anything to watch out for?

You have a choice of damaging the lining or the clips, depending on the method that you use to remove them. If you lever them, it damages the lining, if you pull them straight, it damages the clips (and yer hands when they suddenly give way).
I'd get some replacement clips in advance - you only need to release along 1 side to get access for the mounting hole and wiring.
 
was going to have light behind my head(outside obviously),next to rear window-my landy is a td5 2002 and there is lining around the rear window too....then run wire between seats up to the centre console-i got a range rover switch witch should fit(i think)
 
I would be concerned with the ingress of water and where your going to be drillin. if you get yourself a trim removal tool it will make your life easier it looks like a screwdriver that wide at the tip with a slight bend and has a 'V' in it
 
just type in c/l soleniod on flea bay I paid about 6 quid a piece for them. Mate I highly recommend an alarm and immobiliser for your landy they go for a pass time and are so easy to get into
 
the soleniod was just a universal one had to slightly bend a bit of the door to get the door card to fit like I said the smaller the unit the better, I'll quickly have a look on flea bay for you see what I can see
 
I'm driving what's in the pic next to me name 300tdi. Right they got um on flea bay 5 wire and 2 wire. I've got 2 wire in mine, now how you going to operate them? you'll need a fob of some kind so you might as well have an alarm
 
fob sounds the job-but cash is an issue at the moment and the winds here might send the alarm mad(at night)!!!!
its just such a pain locking jeep with a key!!!
how about electric windows?

JEEP! JEEP! Don't let um hear you call your landy a JEEEEEP!!!! they'l hunt you down my boy. Joking I live in a windy place and the only trouble I've had with mine going off was a mouse in there. Got the little bugger though! Bloody JEEP what ever next.

oh and where can i get those trim removal tools?

solenoids on ebay for £2.95 to £5.95 as fer yer fob???? That why I suggested an alarm you get 2 fobs with them that will work the doors. Buy yer solenoids and get um fitted at the same time. I get my tools from a Mac tools they are a bit pricey but like snap off are covered for life. you could try halfords or any auto type store of EBAY I've seen um on there (not that I spend a lot of time on there)
 
Save yer pennies fella an get an alarm cos one windy night when yer tucked in yer bed a pikey will be warm in yer landy
