Evening chaps and chapesses,
I've recently had to acquire a 51 plate Disco 2 as some kindly old lady decided to crash into my parked Disco 1 and get it written off deep joy. She emerged from her rolled car with the aid of the fire service bruised and shaken but otherwise ok.
Unfortunately this new 'well maintained' Disco 2 is not without its faults, the main four being oil ****ing out of the diff housing through the metal on the rear axle, slight play in the steering (a recon steering box was fitted two years ago), a non functioning rear wiper and the heated rear window not working.
How much of a ball ache is it to replace the rear axle or is there a fix?
Any common problem areas and fixes to the steering, wiper and heater?
With regards to the heated window the light come illuminates on the switch but there doesn't appear to be any voltage getting to the plugs when tested where the feed wires join the element wires, although that is with the rear door open if that makes any difference.
Any help in any of these matters would be greatly appreciate.
