Hi I'm fairly new to land rovers, I have a disco 1 200tdi.
I've just been quoted £430 for 5 bodymounts, a secondhand steering box and 2 brake pipes. I'm thinking this is expensive of am I wrong?

Any info greatly appreciated

as in £430 to weld them on as well ?

Depends how bad the rot is really.......brake pipes are cheap enough and a steering box £40-£60 maybe

My truck failed mot on bodymounts so I'm assuming they meant weld new ones on yes

Is that price reasonable for that kind if work? Just so I can use for eg on other quotes I get.

Take some pics of the body mounts, they may have quoted high because you never know how much more rot you'll have to cut off to get to strong metal

200 tdi, if it aint been worked on before and originals rotted out, for the box, pipe and mounts sounds a good price.
check the quality of work!
if its been repaired in the past, expect horrors when they uncover ****e work that needs attention.
tho wouldn't be surprised if its original, and they find more needs doing.
again, on quoted work, check the quality of it!
