I am getting a squeal from I think drivers side wheel and it now judders a bit altho could be the roads up here.
No noises on either lock.
Was MOTd 2 weeks ago and no advisories.
All brake pads changed.
Am I looking at half shaft replacement?
Or is the CV?

Couldn't see a stone but will have another look.
Don't think they are binding as all four discs were hot when I checked them.
I had been using them but they were all hotter than I expected but all the same

Brakes not binding.
Now makes a very horrible clunky graunching noises on full lock
Intermittent vibration / rumbling noise

CV Joint?

Jack ds wheel up and see if there is any play in rotation and pulling towards/pushing away. Check brake pads for contamination. I would also check your diff oil level.

However it sounds like it may be your cv joint with latest symptoms - have you had the hubs done on the front yet ?

Might be worth doing the viscous coupling test for peace of mind. Doesn't take long.

Thanks for replies
Never had hubs done since I had car
Had car for about two years and 40 k
Not sure what a viscous coupling test is?
There is a fair bit of play when I rotate wheel but no play pushing wheel in or pulling out

What's her mileage now? I would compare against other 3 wheels to see if it is more noticeable play. Visual inspection of cv joint ok?

If your splines had gone on your hs I would expect a fair bit of crud in your diff oil. Say it's a very low chance of it unless it's been hammered off road and no diff lock.

Thanks Grrrrr and that test was ok thank goodness

On 124k now. I have had to take OHs car to work for this week and have ordered a new CV joint form Island and try and change it next weekend

She does go off road a bit but certainly not hammered and never needed diff lock except in snow
