hi
need a front prop for an early 110. there's a guy on flebay selling "HARDY SPICER" ones for about 80 squid inc postage.

does anyone know if they're any good.
failing that. whats a good make n where's the cheapest place to get one

why yer need a prop? if its just the uj's that are worn its easy to replace them and at a fraction of the cost of a noo shaft

unfortunately lack of maintenence on my part meant that the front diff side uj wore awat to nowt resulting the prop coming off n smashing itself up. my own stupid fault. can blame the fact that the new house has no garage, n i've been doing 12hrs a day 7 days a week for the last three months.
ah well lesson learnt

ouch.
Hardy spicer make transmission parts and have done for years - they are very good, often considered the best you can get for 'standard' use - i.e. not race use.
Have you looked at paddock spares? (Paddock Spares - Land Rover, Range Rover Parts & Accessories - Discovery, Defender and Freelander) they often have a reasonable price for stuff, you may find better but their service is usually good also.

Yeah thanks. looked at paddocks. they're about the same price but then theres the dreaded vat to go on top. looks like i'll get one of those Hardy ones.
