Cheers Trewy;) Ah'm just tryin' to be sure this stuff will do, don't want tae be knackerin' up me new steerin' box with the wrong type of fluid:eek:
:D

Dextron 3 is better than 2, and should be put in. I'm not sure that what you have is Dextron3 though, as M2C33 is what you put in the manual 'box, which is apparently different stuff. I wudn' trust it...

That's kinda what ah'm thinkin' boydy, thanks;)

It'll be reet, an if the difference is owt like mine you'll not know how you managed before.

Was it a service exchange box
It was an NTC1582E, steering box 6 bolt exchange. Ah decided tyo go for this as by the time ye pay yer surcharge, ye might not get that back if the old box is beyond repair etc and the postages. It's their word against mine!
Nice shiny box:D

so pretty much ready for the weekend:D
Just out of curiosity, how long should it take to change and bleed the boxes?

I reckon a couple of hours, dont think you gotta bleed it though jus fill resevoir then start up engine and turn slowly from lock to lock a few times then robert should be your mothers brother and adjust fluid level accordingly

Dunno if I'm too late with this, as soon as you start the injun up the fluid gets soooooked out of the reservoir like kinellers, have someone else start it wile you stand by with a litre of ATF. Or slacken the bleed screw an keep pouring the ATF in without running the injun it takes longer that way though.

Nah, yer not too late Grunt. Just got me old box of tonight with a bit of swearin' at the bastidin' drop arm!!! Mind you, it came of quite easily once ah found out how tae work the pullers properly!
Ah took loads of piccies takin' it off, so should be easier going back on.
Ah'll get the missus or the neighbour to give me a hand tomorrow when ah come tae bleed it.
Cheers fur the warning;) :D
