Is it okay to use Wynn's power steering stop leak on a TD5? I've read somewhere else that it's too thick and can knacker the pump. Has anyone used it successfully?

Have seen a few people use it but usualy end up changing the pump !! Nothing can fix worn seals and bearings realy !! Think I'd rather put the cash towards a pump !!!! I've used second hand pimps from breakers !! Doncaster motor spares !! Never had a problem !!! Good luck!!!

Some people use a bit of brake fluid in with the pas fluid as it swells the seals slightly - but you are just putting off the problem for a bit. Give us some more info on where the leak is and how bad it is and we can advise from there ;)

I'm not sure where the leak is coming from but it's not bad but making a mess on the drive. The wind spreads the oil so I need to clean it off and take a closer look. I'll probably get a new pump for it then but I'm not sure I fancy changing it myself :(

They are easy enough to change - if its the pump.................
Could be leaking from a pipe union??

Find the source of the leak and then you will have a way forward.......
