When I bought my p38 it had a bit of towel stuffed between the trim in my foot well. Leaking o ring I'm guessing. I ring it out occasionally, doesn't loose much water, but I've just developed an eas problem and wondered if it could be linked? The suspension won't go up, will sometimes go straight up but today it is taking ages (10 mins of driving to fully raise) I think the compressor is OK, and I did the valve block and it has all pretty much new air bags. So don't think there's a leak.

If the EAS doesn't go up, then either the compressor is poor or there is a leak, if it drops a lot when parked, that also confirms a leak.
The O ring leak will cause many problems with the BECM but is unlikely to affect the EAS, the leak should be fixed ASAP.

Funny you should say that... Upon trying to start my car the last couple of days it say engine disabled, but I think the battery on my keys has had it, would that cause this? If I lock and unlock the car manually it starts fine. Is it dead battery in key or the leak? I'll do it next week

Just done some investigating and I think it could be a duff compressor. I put a manual valve in line with pipe 6, pumped it up to 110psi (most I could get from my compressor) compressor is constantly running. I can just about block off the air coming from it too. The little silencer on the valve block is leaking a little air when running too, none when switched off though. Is that normal?

If you haven't already, screw the filter off and stick your finger over the hole, it should suck your finger

Yh it did, but the pressure coming out doesn't feel a lot, is it a good idea to rebuild the compressor myself or buy a new one?

When you take it apart you will only know if it need a liner then, but if your doing it you may as well, if £ is not much of a problem get Kurts one and make the other one good as a spear

I have 2 anyway, both duffs but one slightly less duff. I'll await Kurt's reply and then do up one of the two I have and maybe sell one.

It is, so easy just to swap over, even for making sure yours old one is the problem or not

If you have air coming out of the exhaust filter with the compressor running, the diaphragm valve is probably leaking.
110psi is more than enough, pressure in the air springs is not much over 60psi at normal height.
