Hello all,
A simple question if you know the answer.

How do I remove the old auto dim/ dip mirror and replace it ?

I have removed the cover and plug and stopped there.

Any ideas ?

hi
do you know anyone that works for autoglass or similar, they must have removed loads.

i'm still trying to get hold of a cover for my normal mirror , as it has never had one , and the only way to get one is to buy a whole new mirror

when you say remove the mirror do you mean the mirror or the bracket it sits on

Sorry, I have purchased another mirror assembly with the cast aluminium shoe and socket.
I have removed the front and rear covers from the one fitted to the windscreen but am unable to remove the mirror and arm assemly from the windscreen, looking at the replacement it seems to latch in somehow but it wont budge. I don't want to break the bracket off the windscreen.

If it's up to 1999 MY, remove front and back covers give mirror a sharp tug downwards. If it's 2000 MY on, remove covers from sides of mirror twist mirror to release clip from mounting.

Just as described, Grit teeth and pull.
