Hi, Just wondered what are peoples thoughts on buying a second hand overdrive for a series 2. I have been offered one but I can't hear it running. The price seems ok but what should I expect to pay?
I am thinking of taking a punt but it could be costly.

I paid £200 for mine from an independant Land Rover garage in Knottingley, Yorkshire. He said he thought it was ok so I took the gamble. It has been no trouble in the 2 years its been on , maybe a bit whiney but I understand from this forum that they all do that.
