So I have a rotten 300tdi discovery manual transmission, and soon I may have the chance to buy another discovery that's got a solid body/chassis but....
It's an auto with a knackered auto box (good engine 98k on the clock!)

So is it much hassle if I was to pull out the engine and box and replace it with my engine and box from the rotten manual?, really like to know if there is much to do with electrical bits that need to be changed?

And secondly what would you pay for a 1997 300tdi auto with no MOT, solid bodywork chassis and engine but knackard box?
