The chap with the Bitsa Land Rover I think it was was his driving that was the deciding factor, if he had not gone into the river the 110 would still be plodding along now.

Doubt it. the thing was a deathtrap Just waiting to kill someone. Shame he had his kids in it when it finally did.

How do you come to that conclusion? Have you read the vehicle inspection report, or just the Sun?

Don't read the sun never have but have read several other reports of the trial and listened to what the police officers said and also one of the attending officers at the crash posts on Mud-Club and he has hinted as far as it's possible to without getting himself in the ****. that it was been driven too fast for the road conditions and was very badly repaired. Also brother was on the police recovery list for 10 years and still has contact with several RTI officers and there opinion is he was an idiot to be driving that 110 on the road. Especially with his kids in it.

if a land rover went past some old duffer or some one who didnt drive fast they would say his manner of driving was dangerous when infact it might just have appeard that way,

second the police are full of **** when it comes to their version of events and believe me i have first hand experience of the bollox the lying b*stards will come out with in court ! the cops who did the testing on the land rover will have found every tiny little defect they could and used this to say the land rover was in a dangerous condition and unroad worthy.

the truth is the real facts will only be known by the guy and the lying expert coppers, the court most likley didnt have the real affects the modifications would have on the handling of the vehicle.

the police are only interested in securing a conviction and as such bend the truth to make sure they have a better chance of ticking another crime detected, solved and a conviction. anything on here, in the papers ect is just speculation and gossip and the guy is getting torn apart for something he might not even be guilty of.

regardless of what happened most of us have a modified land rover and in the event of an accident the 'experts' would most likley say it was a contributing factor in the accident and dangerously done even if it was fitted to high standards and safe !

Doesnt hold out much hope for any of us if, heaven forbid, we ever get involved in an accident - does it.

If you're hurtling down a single track road at 60mph on 2 wheels and mounting grass verges to avoid oncoming traffic. Because you're going too fast to stop in time, when it happens Then no I don't suppose it does.
