we need to buy a discovery just for getting along our access road in deep snow. friends have recommened a mark 1 on the basis that there is less that can go wrtong withj them. can anyone tell me when the mark 1 was last produced?

To make it easy for you... If it has a TD5 engine, it's a mark II also look for no rubber seals on rear/alpine windows and rear lights mounted at eye level (mark I are mounted just above rear bumper)
