Where in Rave or elsewhere is the idiot-level lubrication schedule?
I'm assuming the Hardy-Spicer's on the propshafts are nippled?
What else? Is there anything else that needs attention?

Somewhere I have a grease-gun.....
 
I think there are 3 nipples on each prop, IIRC.

Oil & filter.
Gearbox.
Transfer box.
Diffs.
Clean out intercooler.
Fuel filter.
Pollen filters.
Air filter.

Think there's a service schedule etc in RAVE.

Total of 6 on the petrol, 5 on the diesel:)
 
I looked through my written guide and can only find 3 grease nipples listed. It also says use a handgun not air but I only have air. Will this be an issue.

One nipple on each UJ plus one on the sliding section of each prop. A total of 3 UJ's on the diesel, 4 on the petrol.
You may find a standard grease gun head will not fit between the UJ webs. Air may push too much grease in and blow the seals.

Standard practice to grease until old grease is expelled past seals and excess wiped off. :);)

Do I have to grind it to get it between the legs and grip the nipple?
If I had a thinner one would that help? Or an old style one where you just push the plunger?

I've got one of those mesh extension things on my grease-gun and I'm very glad of it. Makes the job very easy. Can well imagine it being impossible to get in to some of the nipples without it.
