Is the black one a replacement for the blue one? I have the blue and the speedo reads way too high. Though I am trying to get my head around why less teeth would read lower!

If so yeah I will have it please.

black one is for transducer type not cable square drive is the wrong size

I think mine is the transducer type, the one that is currently in is FRC3310 as it is a disco box. That makes sense doesn't it?

Less teeth driven by same number of teeth = gear with less teeth spins faster than gear with more teeth

Think about your bicycle

7th gear is smaller than 1st gear so it spins the back wheel faster

Anyway

Yeah the black one has a slightly smaller square drive but you can make either fit either, you can file out the square or file down your cable a touch, I've always managed one way or another

There are 20 21 22 23 and 24 teeth available

Blue makes the speedo read the fastest!

only the black drive has the small square drive as far as ive seen the other colours take cable

Yes the black one is smaller for transducer and v8 Efi cable

265 75s so a standard one wouldn't be miles out I don't think

300, no idea where the t/box came from though...

If this has the smaller hole I already have one of those somewhere as that was the one I took out.

With 265/75 you are taller than stock disco so I think you'd want to be something like 22 teeth

So you might find a 23 is your best

Did the td5 dash conversion on my 200tdi. It's as simple as just sanding/filing the tiniest amount off the plastic transducer for it to fit into the old speedo gear that's in the discovery 1 lt230, i can't remember off hand what colour they are in the discovery box?
I can't be botherd to crawl under the wagon and check lol.
