There is a boat that I want to carry Pumkin on to go to an island.
They carry vehicles but it is not a RORO (roll on roll off) boat.
They have a crane and lift them on with straps.

Is this safe and if so where do I run the straps?

Thanks.

under wheels- look at "Vehicle street lifter" for ideas

Picture of my dad's A40 being loaded onto the St Ola ferry to Orkney c. 1962. They had hooks that went round the wheels and swung it over more efficiently than any Met Police tow away lifter! I'd check if they're used to doing it and if they are ask how they normally do it. My Landy was in Bosnia and strapped down, rather than up, by JATE rings and straps over the wings (dents are still there!).

Resulting damage from true transit wear and tear is usually considered beauty marks!

Good Luck

PS - don't know if the picture will be there - I'm an attachment virgin!

As you've already said "they carry vehicles" I'm sure that they know how to get it on and off so just leave it to them
