Iv got the old one off no problem but the new one is refusing to go on it just won't get close enough for the bolts to engage the thread? Any ideas please lads as need to get this sorted tonight for work tomorrow I'm pulling my hair out with it now

Have you tried turning the engine by hand so the cam lobe rotates out of the way? Sounds like you are currently pressing against the lobe.

And I think the the lever should sit on top of the cam.....or is it other way round? I can't remember.
But the lever could be on the wrong side of the cam thus preventing it from fitting.

Sits on top lift leaver up as you put it on.

Cheers lads Iv sorted it at last just before it got dark

had 2 cups of tea and it went on a treat
