Do you happen to know the part numbers for:

- power steering pipe from pump to box, the high pressure one for a 2.5na/2.5td
- the washers with the rubber inside and banjo bolt for the pump for the same motor

Cheers chap

Rtc5675 dowty washer will do the trick, the rubber middles have come out of mine so it leaks a tad.

Although I have the parts book in pdf that Allbrit link looks very handy, shame it don't do the prices in £.

Do you? Any chance you could email it me?

General stuff I am ok with but it would be good to be able to search part numbers myself, like when I was into vw's

I downloaded it somewhere. I'll check how big it is and enail it thru. Probably in a few emails.

Do you know all this stuff off by heart?! In my workplace our senior para planner (term for techy financial planner) you can ask him anything, and I mean anything, and he knows the answer without referring to anything/anyone.

I, however, can suffer from Teflon brain.

Nothing sticks :D

mostly though i do need to check sometimes ,if its in my field of knowledge series ,defenders and disco 1 or 2 ,but like anything if you spend years ordering parts and the building stuff it sticks:)

Thanks

Also where the HP hose goes into the box should there be a rubber washer or is it just the compression union that makes the seal?

o ring (rtc4826)on 4 and 6 bolt boxes and a olive on 3 bolt ,which is why 4 and 6 bolt boxes are interchangeable but 3 bolts arent without the 2 pipes

out of interest, since a lot of you really seem to know your stuff, what, if any is the relevance of the three letter coding before the part nos i.e. stc, rtc, ftc etc.. Are they sub grouped for example washers, bolts O-rings, hoses.

Always wondered when ordering parts searched and asked suppliers but no answer. Just wondering

Cheers Daz

yes age mostly ,rtc is roughly 70s ,etc 80s err 90s though many early parts are used in later models, previous it was a series of just numbers except stc are parts were a replacement for original factory issue isnt available, bolts are often prefix sh and washers wa

Many thanks James for taking the time to reply, I thought there was some reasoning behind it. It never ceases to amaze me what you can learn on Landyzone

Oh cool that will explain why my box is leaking at the union then. Hopefully the new pipe will come with one if not can look for one.

Can I just use any suitable sized O ring from my tin of assorted O rings or does it have to be some special one?
