youve got a choice of 2 ntc5001 and ntc6731,banjo is 536382 and dowty washers rtc5675

What's the difference between the 2 pipes?

Ntc5001 from here
Pas Pipe Pump To Box Rhd 90 To Tdi - Land Rover Part NTC5001

Ntc6731 here
HOSE ASSY NTC6731 Island 4x4 - Specialists in Land Rover and Range Rover Parts and accessories for all models. UK and worldwide mail order.

I think I will get ntc5001 as the photos look exactly like the one on there currently.
Quite a price difference between aftermarket and genuine. Dealer wants £80 for 5001  might get the oem or bearmach one.

Would somewhere like Pirtek be able to make you one?

Yeah probably but prob not cheaper than a bearmach one.

Genuine £80
Britpart OEM £25
bearmach £10

Not sure what to get, will the bearmach one be ****e? Really don't want to get britpart OEM as I have had that before (balljoints) and they were gash. The bearmach seems too cheap to be good. I don't mind stumping up genuine if I have to but anyone got any opinions?

I can't comment on this specific part, I've generally found their stuff to be quite good. At that price difference, personally I would chance it and see how it goes, unless anyone has any observations to the contrary. The way I look at it is if it's an easy job and a non-critical component, then I don't mind redoing it if required. If you've got a local friendly independent, it might be worth having a word and benefiting from their experience?

britpart oem on for £17 would be my choice

Oh cool that will explain why my box is leaking at the union then. Hopefully the new pipe will come with one if not can look for one.

Can I just use any suitable sized O ring from my tin of assorted O rings or does it have to be some special one?

any that fit

Got the britpart oem one , £17.

Fitted fine, pretty much identical to the original. New dowty washers stopped the pump leak.

Re bled the steering and it's all good, zero leaks and the pump is now silent.

James I am very grateful for your help and advice, if we meet in person beers/cake/ tea /bacon butties are on me. Thanks :)
