Evening people ...

Quick question ... took a quick look under the bonnet of my fairly new (to me) 200Tdi 110 CSW today to see if I could see any obvious reasons why it seems to be a bit low on power. On checking all pipes and hoses I noticed that there was a small hole in the top of the metal intercooler pipe about six inches from the intercooler. Now I would have thought that this shouldn't be there but, the reason for me asking, is that the hole is about 4mm round and looks too neat ... almost like it was drilled by someone.

Can anyone shed any light on this please? My old 200tdi 90 certainly didn't have this hole ... I don't think

May have been used for a boost gauge or something in the past and the bung has come out

Would that have been as small as 4mm though chap? ... I've put a blob of silicon in it to seal it for now but yet to see if it's made a difference

I've put a blob of silicon in there while I was sealing my new chequer plate ... do you think that will be ok or is it likely to get sucked in? :)
It'll get blown out if anything, how about a hose clip round it, that should cover the hole:)

.15 of an inch :p no idea what that is in fractions

put a blob of tig weld on there if its stainless if not a screw and some high temp silicone
