hi gegs,i am just up the road from you,i'm in sunny tyldesley,where abouts in wigan are you.
when you have the engine running and warm, have you checked the small pipe that runs to the top of the expansion bottle, that can airlock too. disconnect it and blow down it to clear it. when your running you should have a steady flow from it i think??? but it can give the same syptoms
